"MADNESS IN THE MEADOW"

That's the name Van Cleef and Arpels have given this one off piece of jewellery. The centre stone is a six point, twenty-one carat mauve sapphire surrounded by smaller mauve sapphires and diamonds. I would love to see this particular sapphire up close and personal, just to see if it glows like this. Twenty one carats of mauve loveliness and that is one big chunk of rock that could only be carried to perfection by a large red-headed tart with champagne tastes on beer money.

Oh, I'm totally nominating you as the worthy recipient of that little bauble, J ;)

Fen, it's the colour that got me but then when I was looking in the jeweller's window at Southland (I confess to being the phantom dribbler) I thought just how big is 21 carats. I'm still looking for photos that show a comparison.

Why thank you Jayne, it would so go with the colour of my hair and I would like to wear it now while I still have the strength to hold my hand up.

Kath, I must try and find a nice chocolate coloured diamond for you although since you have lovechunks you're already overwhelmed with blessings. As for the word ver. it's a wonder it wasn't greed.

It's a beautiful ring, a little too chunky for my short fingers though. Are you going to buy it and make it yours?

Van Cleef and Arpels? Sounds like spaghetti Western Courtroom Drama to me.

River, perhaps a smaller version and in silver with cubic zirconias, not as heavy and so much cheaper or should I say more refined.

Unlike Fleetwood who has no soul for beauty unless it's labelled 'single malt'.

Preferably double malt, Witchy...I prefer 'em big and fruity.

Orly? In that case we should have HawtAndrew here.
