Tripping over penguins today

Penguins cupcakes and now, our Mary and Prince Fred feeding the little sweeties. Notice the large yellow thick rubber gloves they're wearing. Apparently penguins can get bitey in the presence of food or royalty.

I haz a Silkie named Miss Beverley on my lap as I type this and she says the penguins rock.
I may be misinterpreting her as she just shat on my lap in either surprise or angst.
Yes, there is an old towel between her cloaca and me.

Rubber gloves on the hands, yet her knees are exposed.

don't worry River, 'bitey' they may get, but they have no teeth.
They probably HATE being stroked with the damn rubber gloves FFS.

Ah, now I'm homesick for my old home-town of Penguin...

Good times

Hello darlings. Seems my social worker niece is coming here again next week, down from Sydney. Stand by for new thoughts on the HUMAN CONDITION.

Miss Prude was funny, cute.
I'm a prude myself, just to be different.

Jayne, I read your post about your new chookie. She s(h)its on your knee? That's cute.

River, only the hands were holding the fish.

Sharp beaks though, Annie. Ask any penguin researcher who goes too near a nest.

Miles, I forgot you lived there. Fancy addressing a letter to Penguin, Tasmania. You'd have been a match for Miss Prude.

Robbert, are you sure you're not becoming her new research subject?
Does she know where you stash the silver?

R.H. said...

I always count the silver after she's gone.
Maybe I should count it before she leaves.

Robbert, I hope you count the gold in your teeth as well.

Annie O, it's spring, the animals and sea creatures are out in force and copulating like crazy if the noises underneath my window last were anything to go by.
