I've got a Lindt bar sitting right here. Could the timing be better?Mariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16371925558254933645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17391176.post-42317668425353143462007-10-28T16:50:00.000+11:002007-10-28T16:50:00.000+11:00No Helen this is Lindt orange, all types of goodne...No Helen this is Lindt orange, all types of goodness.

River, that's disgraceful. Don't you realise you could have brownies and mars bars, two lots of calories to eat separately. You must learn to pace yourself. Lindt chocolate is in a thin block which I can throw down my neck like a sword swallower so that in brownies doesn't really count.

Andrew, how could you question that it's low fat and slimming, you know I'm on a diet. R would just love these.

Centurion Hughes, you're only like that because the Romans didn't have chocolate. How about a batch of stuffed larks tongues then?

Oops Caroline is right, it's 125g of butter, will go and correct. It must have been the drool marks on the page.

Rh, you have money and food, could life be any better. The best thing about being an old lady is a lifetime of risque memories. I'm not good with scones, could sell them to international arms dealers as ammunition.JahTehhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02007730071564639411noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17391176.post-26866111501262011172007-10-28T09:48:00.000+11:002007-10-28T09:48:00.000+11:00I won fifty dollars at Altona bingo yesterday and ...I won fifty dollars at Altona bingo yesterday and had two potato cakes four jam and cream scones and a chicken roll. My two lady companions thought that was enough (what a cheek) so I finished off with a bucket of chips. Well the main crowd of old dears there with hubbys in coffins still make a rush for the food counter between sessions, romance is okay but a jam scone is forever. Meanwhile the risque talk out in the annex is terrifying.
That's where I get it from.R.H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04639593801088008224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17391176.post-60164965778313897272007-10-28T07:37:00.000+11:002007-10-28T07:37:00.000+11:00Having made more than fifty batches of brownies in...Having made more than fifty batches of brownies in the last six months, I am just about 'over' them.

Sounds like an awful lot of butter you're using there gal!Linkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12346948772651971988noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17391176.post-9130120042364232812007-10-28T00:00:00.000+10:002007-10-28T00:00:00.000+10:00I don't reckon much to chocolate. It's on a par with soaking the fruit for the Christmas cake starting in October and expecting there to be any fruit left by baking time. That had Tia Maria and sweet sherry with a drop of Cognac. I used to make double the quantity, one for the cake and the other for the pudding.JahTehhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02007730071564639411noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17391176.post-62473142937344999082007-10-27T17:31:00.000+10:002007-10-27T17:31:00.000+10:00Making choc-orange stuff out of more choc, with a ...Making choc-orange stuff out of more choc, with a smidgin of orange in it already.
