Some people leave footprints on our heart. Cats leave fur on our sweaters. Dogs leave drool on our shoes. Families will crap on our doorstep. So when life gives you crap, garden it and make roses.

WITH ALL THE MONEY SAVED
I just can't stop thinking about all that money I'm saving. Here I was last week wandering around the Swarovski Crystal shop at Southland and thinking how expensive everything was and I didn't know I could afford these.
I wasn't overly impressed with the jewellery except for the pendant and that hit me right in the drool centre of my brain. It's called "Dementra". It has a sculpted-cut Copper crystal. Ceralun(TM) applied directly onto the facets and then set with light Colorado topaz, light smoked topaz, Golden Shadow and Fuchsia crystals. It really is a knock out, much better than the photo.
Dementra!!!?

Would suit me.
I'm so envious of you drinking Bombay Blues with the Bwca. Have one for me. ;-)
Funny you mention Swarovski. We were in Myer looking for Aussie themed trinkets to take to the UK as gifts and hoped to find a glass ornament, perhaps a kangaroo or koala. We found the Swarovski display cabinet and I thought some of the items were quite nice. We then happened across the Swarovski shop in Elizabeth Street, and wow. Not usually my thing but some of the crystal animals and flowers were stunning, especially if they had some colour too. Truly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI've been told there is a Swarovski wholesale outlet, uber cheap, downstairs in 227A East Boundary Rd, Bentleigh, with this lot upstairs

I loved the name too Helen, very appropriate for me.
ReplyDeleteIf you're hopping over to Austria Andrew, book in for a tour of Swarovski's CrystalWorld.

Jayne, did you have to tell me that, I'm so close to there. I don't want ornaments but their beads I drool over.
That is a beautiful, beautiful pendant. Did you buy it? Did it jump off the display and say "take me home, take me home"? I don't think you should buy those gorgeous glasses though not with your habit of breaking them.........
ReplyDeleteRiver, I can honestly say it was stunning and only $525, a snip. It measures 9cm by 2cm and it sparkles. I walked by everything in the store but that stopped me.
ReplyDeleteI think they sell the beads there, too J ;)
ReplyDeleteDementra is only $525 ?
ReplyDeleteWe''ll have TWO !
The blue ice-cave is gorgeous and so are those stemmed glasses.
I needed the RACV on Saturday at 9am and the first question they asked was "Have you been drinking"?
I had the Freeway Blue when I needed the Blue Sapphire.
Only $525 eh? Do they layby? maybe I can find a similar one or an exact copy here in Adelaide...I'm going to save the picture just in case. should only take me the rest of my life to pay off.
ReplyDeleteRiver, I'm all for layby but these days it's more likely to be a pair of $20 shoes.
ReplyDeleteThey sell beads! Jayne speaks the magic words but a rattle of the 50cent tin shows 3.50 not quite enough for a rash purchase. Give me time.
Bwca, I bought a gin glass for $2 yesterday and I really looked hard for a 2nd one. It's big and pretty and holds about half a litre with a quarter iceberg to keep the booze cold.
Its lovly stuff...hmmm...but once its home its home and my cupboards would not do those glasses justice, nor my old neck that pendant.
ReplyDeleteTherese, you could be grey haired and leaning on a stick and you wouldn't be old. Liz Taylor still wears all her baubles so me too.
