Some people leave footprints on our heart.
Cats leave fur on our sweaters.
Dogs leave drool on our shoes.
Families will crap on our doorstep.
So when life gives you crap, garden it and make roses.

SOLSTICE MOON
Two days til the Solstice. I'm watching the moon rising over the roof top next door as I blog. I think I'll give dancing nekkid a miss this year, it's freezing out there.
Forget nekkid -I wandered outside (for a sinful ciggie)in the flannel pj's and daggy dressing gown and I gave the possum mafia a freaky floorshow they'll be chattering about for months. I could almost swear I heard one fall out of the tree, peeing itself laughing...
oh jayne jayne jayne - today Pants and I drove past Colac hospital where a patient in PJ's and no DG or slippers, was standing outside on the footpath sucking away on her ciggie.
That moons getting bigger. Not the one in the photograph...the one in the bedroom window over the road from my house. I seriously wish that woman'd put some drawers on and go on a diet.
LMAO Ann. Twasn't me, I was safely ensconced in my backyard away from innocent eyes, not counting the possum mafia and the freaky neighbour over the back ;)
Ahhh! So it's YOU, Robert, who keeps falling off your ladder whilst peeking into our yard every time we set foot out our back door? :P There'll be an extra full moon tonight so wear your sunnies :P
River, it's the full moon over Manchester, Maryland USA and photographer was Edmund Kasaitis.
Next post is photos of a lung biopsy especially for Jayne and Fleetwood. Not that M'Lord Hughes will be able to see it having been blinded by the mooning. You're so irresponsible Jayne, those possums are getting touched by passive smoking.
Mercury retrograde, Caroline and I hope it turns by the weekend. It's raining here as well.
Solstice eh? Bring it on, I can take it. On the winter solstice in NYC in 1986, bugger me but it got dark at about 4pm! They kept that bit quiet in all the cheesy American TV sitcom Xmas specials.
beautiful old moon - where would we be without its waxing and waning - no tides, no change in the nights no cycles of hundreds of thousands of life forms...

great photo.
ReplyDeleteOut here in the paddocks
we have a vista to the pine forest where the moon is sitting on the treetops by 6pm and it looks wonderful.
I think The Nekkid Tango is the Northern hemisphere June solstice so don't freeze in your forest just yet.
