THE MEMORY

THERE WAS THE DOOR TO WHICH I FOUND NO KEY
THERE WAS THE VEIL THROUGH WHICH I COULD NOT SEE
SOME LITTLE TALK AWHILE OF ME AND THEE
THERE WAS - AND THEN NO MORE OF THEE AND ME

  1. Wanting you to know I've seen this today Jahteh, fond regards from me, Robert.

  2. I second Robert even though 'fond regards' is a freakishly weird phrase.

  4. Well nail lady my Uncle Eric's wife died last Sunday and my reaction there was even more inept, because I didn't give much thought to it. But I can cross my heart and say I'm truly sorry for the death of Jahteh's son.

  5. Rh, I know you don't like me bashing the chronically religious but I didn't mind his in-laws having a Catholic priest do the honours before he died. In one of those angel twists of fate, the hospital priest was unavailable but a priest giving last rites to another in ICU said he'd do it. He turned out to be the Parish Priest of the in-laws for the 20 years they lived in Melbourne and to his credit, he asked my permission before the prayers.

Nails, fond regards from Robert is not given lightly and is therefore treasured.

Neo, the smile was wonderful but I can still hear the laughter.

  7. Therese, I used to say that until 'The Compassionate Friends' help line told me that everyone is allowed to feel that their pain is the same as other's. Sorrow is sorrow.
