BACK TO EARTH

For the fourth time in a week, my mother has asked me what I want for my birthday.

Resisting the temptation to say, "a funeral", I kept reminding her it was her birthday.

This afternoon the penny drops.

"It's your birthday and I'm not your sister!"

"Oh yes, that's right, you're not my sister."

Give me strength.

Damn! And I'd sent you a humorous card with some amusing vegetables on it and everything.

IT'S NOT MY BIRTHDAY YOU GREAT WALLIES, IT'S HER BIRTHDAY.

Damn big O birthday in July is close enough without you lot bringing it closer.

Bwca, any chance of you turning into a leprechaun and sending gold?

Bella, his amusing vegetables are probably something his cat barfed up and got stuck to some cardboard. You know what his sense of humour is like.

Cameraface and I were going to jump out of a Fleischer's three metre tall birthday profiterole and do the time dishonoured "Dance of the Seven Cottontails". But then we realised that we'd come too early.

Back into rehearsal for July for the big 'O'. (Did the gateau move for you too?)

I'm still getting over the fact that she's confusing me with Aunt Selma.

Morgana, welcome again.

Look M'Lord, Morgana of the Large Knockers is back. Thank you M, that'll make his month.

Sedgwick, that would ruin a perfectly good cake. The two of you would be much more likely to fall out of a large Haggis.

WE KNOW IT'S NOT YOUR BIRTHDAY AND WHO ARE YOU CALLING WALLY, WALLY?

But hey, happy birthday anyway - for the BIG LOOMING O one... which we shall not speak of again.... mostly...

Yes, dear old Hughes probably would find that amusing for which we should probably be thankful...just think of the alternatives....

Your Loving Sister.

Bella, the countdown to 31 July seems to be running very fast. I had hoped to be wealthy and have a stable of toy boys by this age but I've run out of energy for boys and the piggy bank is zero.

All I can look forward to is a cute gay and a mad aristo leaping out of a cake I shouldn't be eating.
