Hippo Birdie

I'm a day early but I want Miss O'Dyne to wake up to this birthday gift cake but she's been on a diet so I'll have to take care of the eating part. Not only a cake but a cake full of chocolates, now that's two presents in one and I'll take care of both of them.

*Thinks* Where did I put the Tia Maria for the coffee?

I'd better get out the cake forks as well, don't want to make an unladylike mess.

I notice you said cake fork-S, not cake fork. Is one of those forks for me? Or do you plan on holding one in each hand? I'll bring the napkins.

Yummo. And a happy birthday to Miss O'Dyne. That is a cake worth breaking any number of diets for.

Call that a cake? That's a French Fancy with pretensions.

That'd be an upper class tart then MiLord?

EC, what a joy of a cake. The rolls around the edge are made of white chocolate and I can only imagine what the actual cake is but full of chocolates, yum.

River, the other cake fork is for you but since you're not here I'll use it for you. Don't worry about the napkins, I'll have to use a paper tablecloth for this.

Jayne, I'm sure you and I could make short work of it.

oh how divine you gorgeous thing - a Virtual Party. There is probably ganache under the layer of choccies.

the old slag Annie, aged 63 years and 17 hours, actually shovelled a great deal of chocolate today at the Lindt cafe in Collins Street and is exhausted so on her behalf I will thank you and El Chi above for your kindnesses

Happy birthday Mysodyne. :-))))

Well, Stacks, in that case I'm not the slightest bit guilty about demolishing the cake.

Honestly, Bear, I'm surprised that we're still all here for a birthday.

JT, I know... I know... that's why I'm quite content to unburden myself of all my bile on my blog before I shake of my copper coil, or is that mortal coil. I think I don't actually have a copper coil...

I'll get out of your way now...

Bear, I believe you have a gold coil, you just hide it in your black heart.

Thanks Gerry and Helen - due to being (unusually) In The City, I have had a whirlwind Carlton week (and with several bloggers complicit in stupendous cocktail consumption) and though it was lovely, will be happy to skedaddle back out to the paddocks tomorrow and mind some goats while contemplating the joy of the Bitter Tuscan cocktail of the rooftop Tuscan Bar in Bourke St, and the best Mojitos by The Old PO bar opposite the Corner Hotel in Richmond. cheers!

PS Coopy - the giftshop at the Tut exhibit sells replica Nefertiti beaded collars for $2000 ... but I really wanted the big puffy black and gold sequinned Tut hat which Pants shamed me out of.
save time and money and just visit the gift shop.
