WAIIIIIIIT FOR IT!

136.6 kilograms.

My scales are nearly a kilo out so I was 138 kgs when I started last Monday so that is a good result.

3kms to the hospital and 3 back in the pouring rain. I walked in the back door straight into a hot shower, clothes and all, to try and shave off frostbite.

On Thursday, I staggered home trying not to succumb to heatstroke.

Thanks to all who are supporting me, especially Cellobello who, in a noble gesture of sacrifice, ate only a small packet of chocolate chip tiny teddy biscuits. *sobs* I love tiny teddy biscuits.

Don't mention exercise, I can do enough damage walking. I've been catching buses, good, cracked my spine on a bus seat, not good.

Last night I had to figure out how to attach the two sticky paddles of my TENS unit to a spot between my shoulder blades. That's really hard with one dodgy arm but I'm a woman and female brains are wired for just this sort of problem. I measured my back, measured the chair and pinned the paddles to the exact spot, sat down and leaned back, brilliant.

Now to get through Sunday without cappuccino, croissants and chocolates. I can do it, I can do it, stop thinking tiny teddies, don't think tiny teddies, crush the tiny teddies. *sobs*

Weekends are truly the hardest times to eat right and not drink yourself into a stupor.....Well for me anyway.

I'll have to stop reading your blog Steph, your bumbling stumblings are infectious and I'm catching them. I couldn't even walk fast to get out of the rain because I was wearing rubber thongs, one slip and I'd have gone.

Make yourself a beautiful salad tomorrow. Look forward to it, focus on it and choose a day for an extra special treat, something that is not on the diet list. Maybe some avocado in your salad tomorrow. Dispassionate suggestion. I eat because I have to.

Hooray for you, that's a wonderful start. What about swimming? You could treat yourself to a spa.

I like the electronic scales in the waiting room at the vet.
They can handle 120kg dogs and they can handle me ... and

I like the Darrell Lea diet: a bag of peppermint creams -you eat about 3 and then feel so sick you cannot eat anything till the next day ...

and the weather? dear god.

And you know what? The tiny teddies weren't that nice. Hmm but that salad, with crisp capsicum, flavoursome tomatoes, crunchy spring onions, cooling cucumber and slices of nutty avocado... with a little balsamic vinegar and some cracked black pepper.... yummy! CB xx

You're tagged by the way! I've had to admit how much exercise I've done this week (nearly none) and I figured you can beat that!

Thank you for the salad suggestion TightJeans, I'll put that on my list right beside all the cafes and pubs you've written about lately.

Meredith, are you crazy, swimming, it's the whaling season!

Peppermint creams, I'd sell myself on a street corner for an after dinner mint.

Sorry CB, the salad season's gone. Now it's brown lentil pasta sauce with vegetables and kalamata olives. I put in on pasta, rice, potatoes and dip sour dough bread in it. Waddyamean I'm tagged?

How much sugar is there in a litre of Kardonnay...there is my downfall...have to do it...beats Valium or somat...congrats on the loss...

but my eldest sister drinks more than me and she looks like she came out of Belsen.

Well done!!

I naturally gravitate to high carb food, and alcohol and when I do that a lot I gravitate to creamy fatty food. But I always feel much better when I am eating low fat, low carb ... and if I'm dieting, it has to be short black and no beer.

Generally I want less cream/fat/bread/booze if I exercise at all.

Lyn, I am such a carb junkie. I cannot pass a bakery with the smell of fresh bread, it kills me. Lo-fat cheese is the pits.

MC, my younger sister drinks, smokes and gambles and if she wants to lose weight she doesn't eat, not a thing in the fridge. I'd chew my hand off.
