No apples here

For a start I just love the gold butterfly mouse and would have it for the desktop because it's pretty.
But this is serious pretty. The Butterfly Lovers HP Mini 210. Gold and butterflies, it's calling to me.

Designed by Vivienne Tam, less than 3cm thick and blingingly gold. I am loving the gold. Apple Ipad, dull. Butterfly Lovers Rule! Priced at $799 but if you have to ask, you can't afford it.
Good for blogging the ghost ride over the Titanic.

Me first! I just love the gold colour but it is a mini not a laptop so I want one in a laptop and a matching notebook. Did you see all those geeks lining up for an iPad?

No I didn't see the geeks, but I'm not at all surprised. I won't be getting one. I do want an ebook though. I've already bought myself this years gift, an i-pod speaker dock, so I'll start saving to get myself one next year.

Maybe I could afford the mouse.

Actually, when you look at butterflies up close they're really horrible creatures...typical insects really. Some things are best kept at a distance or idealised in artwork...such as Daleks. I remember meeting a Dalek outside a shop in Lancaster back in the eighties (don't me what it was doing there, because I've no idea) and it was a really tatty affair. All chicken-mesh and lumps of wood. It still frightened the kiddies though...which is always good for a laugh.

Good evening, J!

Sticker decals on the uber-cheap ones could do the trick.

River, I can't stand the little ear pods with the Ipod but I see they're bringing back outside earthingies in pretty colours with bling. An ebook is not on my horizon, I like pages that I can annotate, pages that are smooth and really white, pages that smell like high quality book. An ebook is only good for taking on planes.

Andrew, it would be cheaper to wear a 'out and proud' sign rather than look so by swinging your pretty notebook in your hand. Mind you, the colour would suit you perfectly.

Fleetwood, butterflies comes from caterpillars and I loathe caterpillars anywhere near me. We have a wedding custom here of releasing butterflies after the ceremony which is fun if the guests are also throwing rice at them.
I've found if you want to annoy the cat, saying "you will be exterminated" in dalek voice and poking them really does piss them off.

Jayne, you have been hanging round Fleetwood too long, you're losing your romantic streak. It's the gold I like and it would be nicer with a blue butterfly.
