Back as soon as I get broadband

Current download speed is 12kbps and that's after spending half an hour with the Peter Sellers Memorial call Centre who assured me that my down load speed was working fine on their end.

Now going out tomorrow to do a deal with Telstra about broadband and telling Optusnet to get stuffed. Of course, I might have to do that with Telstra as well which means posting from the first internet cafe I find.

I blame the World Cup, Tony Abbot, Kevin the Lemon and the Solstice vibes, they're all bad.

"working fine at our end" ...
The immortal 1964AD words of Miss Mandy Rice-Davies, age 19, spring immediately to mind -
"Well they would say that, wouldn't they."
Broadband a more useful purchase than all the gems in the world my dear.
Good luck with Mumbai

You need broadband, Jahteh. I don't know how we lived without it.

The trouble is we get used to go fast and faster and lose patience altogether.

What browser are you using?

Have your tried Firefox or google's Chrome, they are way better than Internet Explorer.

Broadband: just as valuable as a block of good chocolate and a cup of your finest tea.

Sell a gem and get thee broadband, Ms Copperwitch!

MStacks, that lass was a worldly age 19 but these days a 14 year old would give her a run for her money.

Elisabeth, I am now connected to wireless broadband which starts with 1Gb and I can go up as needed.

Frances, I have heard evil things of Google Chrome and I feel they have enough information about me without using their browser. Firefox according to the forums is long overdue for an upgrade. The thought of exporting all my bibs and bobs terrifies me.

Kath, Coles this week had a wall of Lindt blocks and I was drooling like a werewolf at a kindergarten. I didn't buy one, I felt so righteous until about 9 that night when I was searching the cupboards for anything hidden.

Connected - Wonderful. You won't know yourself.

No bad vibes from the solstice JahTeh. The broadband problem lies squarely at the feet of the government. Past, present, future governments. They're all the same......

Kevin the Lemon is gone, Liberals wasted quids on the advert; Little Dancing Pinocchio has the crown on its head.
Boy, this country is rooted.

Pinocchio will lower the tax Rudd demanded from mining companies. It's why they got rid of him.

She'll lower it, that's the deal.

It's terrific Elisabeth but I still don't know much a gigabyte is.

River, all pensioners should get it free. You now realize that I'm going to save up for the butterflies and gold netbook.

Rh, you're right and they wasted stacks of money on advertising too soon and Julia will lower the tax but won't drop it.
I've been thinking of you while being scammed on eBil. You were born too early, all those cold mornings flogging off your nicked goods when these days you could do it from home in comfort. Are you sure you don't deal in gemstones?

You're right. Hell, you really know me (gives me the shakes).

I'll see what the boys have got.
