Not another happening, please.

Okay, the hose held, just so the washing is done for the moment.

I decided to go to bed early and pass out.

The usual routine of teeth cleaning is usually routine but not when I bend down to fill the glass and I'm face to face with a freeking skink.

I'm beginning to believe that an alternate universe is leaking into my house.

How would a skink get into my bathroom? I haven't been able to open the window since the screen fell off outside.

Perhaps it was friends with the spider swinging in the air from the lounge room down light.  I watched him climb up into the light well and I told him not to do it, very quietly, but he did. Fried himself like the Greek kid with the wax wings and will be swinging for eternity.

I barely survive life, wild life could do me in.

Sigh. I think that skinks are able to transport themselves. Dematerialise and re-appear where they are most likely to give you a heart attack.
Or the IceBear brought it in and lost it.

Skinks inside your house are supposed to be lucky aren't they? Or is that only for geckos?
Anyway, but a lotto ticket.
Sorry to hear the newly upholstered chair is uncomfortable, my not-so-new couch is the same. every time I sit on it, I have a helluva backache the next day right across from one hip joint to the other.
A coffee table with leadlight inserts? I'd like to see photos please, it sounds lovely.

I get skinks in my house, because my hairy baby brings them in. Little bugger.

EC, there is no chance the Bear would touch it because he would have dropped it on me. I've never had one in the house, ever.

River, crickets are good luck. The Chinese keep them in little cricket cages.
The coffee table is big but nice and it matches my entertainment (laugh) unit.
I'll just have to watch the toes.

Fenstar, I would have thought that Alex would just chew them up but I forgot your other little baby.
I must ask, does Alex spray in the house? A friend of mine has two Bengals and they spray everywhere. She has plastic sheets up against the bookcases and over the furniture.

I know Fen has tried "Feliway® is a synthetic copy of the feline facial pheromone" on Alex and it made no difference. Maybe it will work on your friend's cat.
Lotta skinks round here with no tails. they are sweet. Up the shops and opened back door of car only to wake up BIG sleeping Huntsman. Hmmm he must have come from the garage and he won't like The Main Street, so I tipped out new shoes, put him in the box and then the carry bag, and drove him home. crazy is never neat.
