I had one of those afternoons

Thank you Coles supermarket for making sure the rubber mat at the front door was nice and buckled for the fat lady to stick her toe under and go flying. I had a heavy bag on the shoulder and was carrying an equally heavy bag in the other hand so being balanced like a high wire walker I managed to remain upright.

Ooowaaaa - that could have been very nasty for you. Hope that there are no residual aches and pains. Well done you for maintaining your balance, equilibrium and sense of humour.

So lucky. But I bet the bits you wrenched are telling you about it today.

You stayed upright. So that's a *bit* of a win, right?

Believe me Anon, there were aches and it was my right hand that hurt most as the shopping bag must have swung and crushed the fingers.

Jayne, I think my feet need eyes. I think I'll punch the next person (thin) that tells me walking is good for you. I never take my eyes off the pavement, gumnuts, stone, twigs or bits of pavement out of aline, it's a nightmare.

Annie O, my sister said I should have fallen and sued, her with no dodgy knee replacements. Yeah, I could still shop from hospital but I'd prefer not to. The frog is happy, the pondwater masquerading as coffee (and haven't we all had that) is cold.

EC, missed the knees but wrenched one little part of my spine so it was ice packs all night.

Kath, it was like winning gold. All I could see in front of me was a vast expanse of cold hard floor, face first or head first into the coke machine.
Honestly I'm becoming a danger to myself.

Oh no! Did you go straight to the desk and let them know? Staff are supposed to take notice and keep these mats flat. Glad you are okay.
@Ann O'Dyne, JahTeh can only make a claim if she's injured preferably with witnesses to prove it wasn't set up.

River, I did just that and they straightened and there were no actual witness to the initial trip but there would have been plenty when I hit the ground and there is no way I could fake me going down.

Did you kill a Chinaman in a previous life?
