My new reindeers and the box I had to buy to keep them in.
In the background is the frame (unfinished) for my Christmas Brooch tree.
So now it's off to the Home and the Oldies and a decent Christmas lunch from the new chef du jour.
The Chef is actually a nurse at the Home but loves cooking.
This is his first Christmas Dinner and I keep reminding him about Basil Fawlty and the gourmet dinner that went terrribly wrong.
Bad Santa has nothing on me.

I LOVE those reindeer!! I must get some for next Christmas, what shop was that you got them from?
I hope your Christmas lunch was amazing, can you wrote about the food? I had a toasted ham and cheese sandwich.
Oh my gosh!! It's raining here! Just started. Big fat drops.
I would be building chef's confidence, not sapping it, if I was going to be eating his food.
I am with River on the subject of those reindeer. They are an enchantment.
How was lunch? Menu please. And a critique as well.
When are we going to see your completed Christmas Brooch Tree? Christmas in July would be a good time.
River, they were in the window of one of those Chinese variety stores and they're made of plaster so are very heavy. I'm hoping for a big sale there.
Christmas lunch was oldie's size but very nice.
Andrew, he did a great lunch but in very small portions because that's all they can eat. Unfortunately we had a guest with us and she was a real motormouth which was so tiring.
EC, they're the only ornaments that really took my fancy this year, everything else seemed to be blah.
I still have two presents to finish and one to buy and the frame to paint but I need at least 3 days at home for that.
After tomorrow's bbq at the Home, I'm taking days off.
Aye and you've outdone y'self in display of yer little girl attraction to wonderments.
You never lost it.
aaw i like the reindeer's curly wurly antlers.
I hope your Xmas day was full of lovely food x
Robbert, I just love Christmas ornaments but the quality has dropped in the last few years except for the reindeer and I could leave them up all year.
Fen, Mentone JDs Variety story opposite the train station, five minutes down the road for you.
Sorry you weren't there for the BBQ today, great salads and one whiff of the sausages and I crossed vego off my CV for the day.
