One foot in front of the other.

I feel as though I've been waiting for this wave to dump on me for the past few months.
So I've been trying to wade to safety on shore using empty ice-cream cartons to keep
myself afloat.
I must be nearly there, no ice-cream in the freezer and Domino's shares are falling.
It seems to have been a long miserable winter.
Don't give up on me, I'll be back
in full glorious colour and thanks to  the ice-cream, in wide screen.

Meanwhile read the comments on my last post, written by the golden
poet Lord Robbert of the Western Lands.

That wave is very pretty. Perhaps you could rise above and surf in to shore :)

If my right hip didn't hurt so bad and lock up on me, and my right knee would promise to hold me upright, I KNOW I'd feel much better with a casual walk at night. I'm not a morning person and only feel like I belong to the world after the sun goes down. So I'm using a tall walking stick and carrying a flashlight at night for my half-a-block stroll. If I fall and start writhing on the ground, I at least won't have witnesses. First time at your blog, and not my last one. I see all my friends are here!

River, I only tried surfing once, in 6 inches of sea water and that was enough. I would be quite content to sit on shore and watch waves like this. I've watched those idiots that get towed out to sea just to ride some 30 metre wave to the beach, crazy.

EC, Coffee ice-cream is on special this week, half price and my favourite coffee. I might stick around a while longer. According to the BD, our book is another 37 days away and in hard back but the same price we pre-paid.

Annie O, considering the rain down your way you could set up a surf shop. I hope your lovely goat girl is high and dry. Any chance all the snakes have drowned?

lotta joy, you are in good company, we're all falling to bits on this blog. I graduated from a stick to a walker to carry all my bits and pieces and the only thing that gets me walking is the corner shop for a coffee on a sunny morning. I do love your frog.

That frog came with me from Indiana to Florida and one morning I woke up and discovered my garden had been robbed of all my beloved Indiana lawn creatures. All I have left is that one photo. I loved that frog.
