AND IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH......

I washed the blankets I put in the box up the side for the stray cat.

I put an old mat down for him.

I washed his dishes.

I blame the outbreak of kitten ownership and posting of photos.

Heh, you have a companion. Have you named him/her yet?

River, we are not acquainted formally. I provide warmth, food and water and then we ignore each other. He was here most of last winter but I haven't seen him since then so I suppose he has a summer holiday shack.

The first feral I fed, not the one that moved in but another was so excited, so obseqious, when we first met, he dragged himself on his side four feet across the ground to be at my side and then promptly sunk his teeth into my hand. I figured the closest thing he ever got to love was the thrill of the kill.

WF peable. Hmmm Twern't very. Aktshally

Feral #2 has dragged something dead under the house, right under the kitchen floor. I thought it was a mouse but now I'm thinking its a rabbit. It is not possible nor desirable to retrieve it. Where are the feckin ants when you need them? Just thought I'd share that with you.

Jayne, neither cat nor bloke gets my wool filled doona.

Caroline, I too, have the wounds of kindness, round holes on a vein in my wrist. Still after he was neutered, he was a perfect gentleman of a cat and I loved him.
As for pusskat, he's had so many moves that he's still putting away provisions for a rainy day as in you not being able to cross the creek.

I have three cats. I've counted them. I don't qualify as a crazy old cat lady. yet.
