Skinny people in power are still going on about putting a tax on fast food.

It's for our own fat-arsed good.

Except for one thing, it's a cheap meal on a day out for a pensioner.

I counted 10 pensioners enjoying that cheap meal when I walked past MacDonald's today.

Shove it up your collective hooters, Canberra.

tax ? a new tax ?
does anybody recall that the G&ST supposedly replaced all other taxes?

and that it is already in place on all food purveyors.

Just been catching up with your posts I missed while away, glad you're going through the bits 'n' bobs and not your sister.

Fat tax? Bugger 'em, since Cadbury started downsizing their blocks but not their prices and fiddled with the recipe I've lost all interest and have flung myself, with wild abandon, into embracing Nestle's dark choccie...

When I want a bit of fun I go to MacDonald's Altona: Bigscreen TV, Heraldsun paper, plus an occasional floorshow (matrimonial strife) and all for the price of a cheeseburger!
So take note, you mean boney little bastards, diet won't save you, heaven is full of fat people. `

Pensioners love the coffee there, too. Besides, surely we grownups get to choose what we'd like to eat (typed whilst eating a Kit Kat Chunky with Caramel, on special for 99c at Safeway this week).

I don't eat Maccas but I still don't agree with the extra tax.

Angel wings, they now say that Diabetes2 is on the rise but could it be that more people are being tested now because of the publicity?

Miss Annie, this is for the good of the nation and to spare the rich fat people from paying hospital care for the poor fat people.

Jayne, to make myself feel better I only have to watch Question time in Parliament, plenty of overlarded bums on seats there.

Robbert, you have it in one, cheap intertainment, warm in winter, cool in summer and no-one to shove you out the door.

Kath, 99c, chunky and caramel. Good thing I'm passing that way tomorrow. I'm thinking of street kids whose only meal is a cheap burger not overindulged blubber balls who eat the entire menu because mum can't be bothered cooking or learning how to.

River, has extra tax stopped people from drinking and smoking?
It's not going to stop kids from eating junk food. I love dried fruits but I love them in scones so I'm a lost cause.

You Made Me Love You.
(For Miss pavlov)

You made me love you
I didn't wanna do it
I didn't wanna do it
You made me love you
And all the time you knew it
You smeared my dial with suet.
You made me happy sometimes
You made me sad
But there were times dear
You chased me round unclad.

(Wooh! Good heavens!!!)

Robbert, there's been a quite a flock falling off the twig this week.
Down at the home, they play balloon tennis from their wheelchairs.

I know.

I've been asked to umpire.

We're a self-righteous nation and we're never happier than when we're shoving our nosy beaks into somebody else's business (and telling them how to run that business). Of course, the do-gooder wosers were never going to stop at ciggies. And they won't stop at fat, either. We'll be taxed and legislated all the way to a very long, very healthy, very safe, very very boring life.

If they would just piss off the filthy fluoride (industrial grade) which they pour direct from the chimney stacks of china's industrial megalopolis - out of 90% of Australia's water - we wouldn't have so much trouble with an epidemic of people with low thyroid Fluoride is a known enzyme inhibitor amongst a plethora of other things) people would be more active and less obese no matter what they ate...garrrgh
maybe THEY like us fat, slow, stupid and taxed to the hilt..
