Some people leave footprints on our heart.
Cats leave fur on our sweaters.
Dogs leave drool on our shoes.
Families will crap on our doorstep.
So when life gives you crap, garden it and make roses.
Jahteh, I can only imagine.... Despite this, I can still send you a hug in cyberspace and hope that you're spending this sad anniversary doing something you love.
He was 21 there, River and 3 years later he was gone.
Thanks Kelly and Sam, I get pleasure watching Charlotte growing up but does she have to do it so quickly. My fingers are crossed for the house sale too.
Take care Jahteh - I hope today is not too hard...he was a beautiful looking young man and I won't presume on your beliefs but I believe that those we love dearly are with us when we need them
I thought today was Monday. And now it's raining. Poor show. Not a good thing for outdoor latte. Focaccia. Carrot cake. Oh my golly, hard to pose when you're freezing your bum off. I think your son got a Christian blessing at the end. Good. I know who wouldn't like it, the squealers, crawlers, clones along Brunswick Street. So common. I can tell an atheist by their hairdo.
Thanks Sedg, it's funny trying to think what he'd look like at his age now and I'd not only be lying about my age but his.
Robbert, by one of those strange coincidences the Parish priest of his in-laws and wife was in the ICU tending to someone else. The hospital priest wasn't available so I asked him to say a blessing, not knowing who he was and it was a great comfort for the in-laws. It didn't mean anything to me but it did to them so there are times to stand on your high horse and times not to.
Helen, it seems to get worse not better although that could just be me trying to move a large chair which he could have picked up with one hand.
Jayne, there's a lot of negative things said about police but the constable who cared for him that day was the best. I hope he's having a long and happy life.
Therese, I know when he's around. If I put up a photo in the study, which was his room, that he doesn't like, it'll hang crooked until I move it. The first big painting I ever bought him was of a cheetah and he chose the yellow background for the walls. I tried moving it somewhere else but at 2 o'clock in the morning I was up a ladder, standing on the desk and putting it back. I could swear I felt a sigh and a thank you.

Yes cyberhugs to you and your beautiful boy. I know this time of year is so hard for you.
You never get over it. I support these loving comments and I'm sure they're a help to you.
