Is this right? Another week and summer will be over and it will be autumn, just my favourite time of year because it cools down from summer.
Frosty mornings and balmy afternoons. I know time is supposed to fly but not gallop.
Miserable mozzies still plague us but I have never seen so many lovely dragonflies, not for many years.
Of course, I have my own dragon who flies.

I hope you're not calling your mother a dragon?
Stop posting so much, I can't
keep up!

wooooooh....shivers.
Yes, Autumn is Melbourne's best season by far. I also love it.
I walked along the edge of Malvern's Central Park last week. Dragonflies were darting left right and centre. Wonderful.
Loving those dragonflies and yay on Summer running out the door...
The old girl's turned into quite a lamb these days and it's only two weeks until she turns 81.
Frank, Autumn clothes have to come out and I swear I've just put them away. But we might still get an Indian Summer til April.
Andrew, I can only think that whatever eats their larvae were drowned in the floods. I did watch the Lake Eyre programme last night until they started on all the dead things.
Jayne, mozzed us now, haven't you.
Speaking of mozzies, mum bought the BOH a mozzie zapper, looks like a tennis racquet with batteries in the handle but it zaps them with a neat sound. He loves it because he's allergic to repellents.
Isn't that great! I come back and my witchy photo is no longer available. New one is up but It's not showing in comments.
Now it is. Two love dragons making a heart shape. Romance isn't dead yet.
I'm looking forward to Autumn. Summer can take a hike. Of course we haven't had much summer this time, a few unbearable days, but this last weekend and today too has been perfect.
Flying dragon? Lucky you. Mine just sits in a corner and snarls when I "forget" to bring home chocolate.
Autumn is a bad time for us poets, we get swoony, soft-brained; the way housewife 'writers' are all year round.
mm, that pic reminds me of some writings by Anne Mcaffrey ..
Summer?? depends on how much latitude one gives (RH, yerv always been 'soft brained' .. heh).
Where was i .. oh, summer .. geez, can remember three days last January with a cheapish plastic mercury thermometer reading above 25C - and this is in AUSTRALIA, dammit.
(mumbles, still managed to get three barrels of homebrew through it though)
Hey, you've lost weight. You look like a farmer. A yoeman! You old c-nt. heh.
Yo ho ho .. still working on the bottles of rum (still not working, properly, tho)
. and whaddya mean - cant. Can.
Love Anne McCaffrey books :)
River, I seem to get more done in Autumn than any other time of year.
Jayne, I haven't read any of her books and just ignore Rh and Davo, just having their usual stoush.
Have a giggle, make it a big one, that's the last time I'll write cunt with a letter missing.
:-D...bugga, can't (am unable)to find a suitable set of keyboard characters with teeth missing.
Ah, the Anne McAffery "Dragon" series .. well worth a read. Subtle allegory and analogies ... probably why they never made it into "mainstream" media.
.. dismissed as "fantasy".
um, that's odd .. word verification -'insight'.
OK, will continue while am here .. something very odd happened today .. was sitting reading a book when i hear "kark kark" in the laundry. ?? think i. Dog looks at me, i look at dog. Gah, there's a magpie. Must be very young .. so .. kept very quiet , told dog to be quiet. Young magpie unafraid, wandered around laundry, ate from dog's bowl, wandered off. Beautiful.
