Some people leave footprints on our heart. Cats leave fur on our sweaters. Dogs leave drool on our shoes. Families will crap on our doorstep. So when life gives you crap, garden it and make roses.

What's the point, if not cake!
Mothers Day, a day for mothers and what happens, the Cake Fairy loses my address again, probably pissed from visiting all those other mothers and being plied with champagne until her wings are wasted. And I'm still waiting for my lemon meringue cupcakes and my vanilla and strawberry cream heart cake with musk hearts and cream on top. I think I ordered two layers but I'm sure I didn't order purple icing. There's always the Bombay Sapphire and if Absinthe can be called the Green Fairy then Bombay can have a Blue Fairy. I love lemon meringue cup cakes. Bloody fairy.

Bloody fairy indeed. I think the Blue Fairy would be getting a work out here....
One does like one's gin with a blue tinge, but not a blue tinge from bruised gin. You were a good mother I think. Happy Mother's Day.
This is the first I've ever heard of lemon meringue cupcakes! now I'm going to have to find a recipe for them.
I'm so sorry the Mother's Day fairy missed you. I shall eat some of my scones with jam and cream in your honour.
EC, still being annoyed by the skinny one?
I believe he doesn't eat cake either, now that's strange.
Andrew, I read recently the difference between shaken and stirred, one makes the gin sharp and one makes the gin smooth and after two I really couldn't care if I was drinking it out of a boot. You didn't send cake either.
River, try Taste.com. I will keep the photos but never the recipes. The only way I can get cake is to walk, taxi or bus it to a cake shop, it makes me think if I really want a cake. The answer is always yes. I couldn't even make a scone, all the flour is gone. I'm overhauling the pantry, some of the use by dates are in Roman numerals.
